Joel McHale says he has hacked Ryan Seacrest’s website and Twitter account. Today however is April 1st, also known as April Fools Day. So the question is, was he really hacked or is this just a joke?

What really got me thinking was — why would someone so famous take their website down for a joke? That’s revenue loss right there! After a while I figured maybe his site is just down because of a traffic surge once his Twitter was hacked.

I’ll keep you up to date as I find out more information.

Update 1: It seems to me this is actually a money MAKING prank. Originally I thought he would be losing money from ads while his site was down, now I’m thinking that Joel McHale is paying Ryan Seacrest to do this ‘prank.’ Or am I wrong? Look at the latest screen shot of Ryan’s website! Was Ryan really hacked? We don’t know yet! Keep checking back.

Update 2: Gr, should have gone with my instinct! It was an April fools joke! How did I fall for that one?! Wah wah!

Thanksgiving is right around the corner! The point of Thanksgiving of course is to give thanks for what you’ve been blessed with. So, I want to challenge all of my blog readers and twitter followers to tweeting one thing you are thankful for each day with the hash tag #Thankful. So you’re tweet could be something like: “I am #Thankful for ____” or “I am thankful for___. #Thankful.” Something like that. Hopefully doing this everyday will get the #Thankful hashtag trending and the hope is for people to be thankful for what they have. You can help get the idea about this out there by using the social networking links below (Digging, Re posting on Facebook etc.) and by using the Retweet button at the top of this post. I’ve been using Digsby for almost a year now as my IM/Social Networking client.

Disby allows you to sign on AIM, MSN, ICQ, Google Talk, Jabber, and Facebook all in one nice clean program. You can also check your Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo Mail, AOL/AIM Mail, IMAP, and POP accounts using Digsby.

One of my personal favorite features is the social networking featyres. I don’t use it so much for Twitter, but you can use Digsby to see Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, and LinkedIN updates.

It’s summer time and many of us are going on vacation! I personally always set up a vacation response for my email address… why should my Twitter account be any different? In fact I use Twitter more than email!

This week I decided I would do a little bit of research to see what I could come up with and I cam across this cool site called Vacatweet.

CheckUserNames.com is a really neat tool that I found this week through a tweet that someone posted on Twitter. With this tool,  you just simply type in a username in the input box. It will then search tons and tons of sites like YouTube, Wikipedia, Wakoopa, Rejaw, Twitter, Digg, Vimeo and many other social media websites to see if your username is available. If it is, you can click the Available link and it will take you to the selected site to register. No registration is necessary. CheckUserNames.com.

This week’s website(s) of the week is big time based on Twitter.  So, if you don’t have a Twitter account, go get one and follow me! This week’s website  is twtapps. Their website consists of 7 Twitter applications.

1. twtpoll

twtpoll is a really cool application for Twitter that allows you to make Twitter Polls. You can embed the poll on your website/blog/myspace/facebook.

2. twtvite

twtvite is an application that allows you to plan events on Twitter. You can chose where and when the event will be as well as manage RSVPs.

3. twtTRIP

twtTRIP is yet another application for Twitter. This one is my favorite because it allows you to put your travel plans so that you can meet other tweeple in the same area!

4. twtQpon

This one is very creative. It lets you create coupons for your company to use on Twitter. Very inavative!

5. twtwlst

twtwlst lets you  make a wish list for Twitter! You can tell what the occasion is and what you want!

6. twtcard

twtcard is an e-card generator for Twitter! Neato!

7. twtpets

I’m not really sure what the point of this one is, but it’s for all you animal/pet lovers so check it out!

Back on the Radio!

I am very excited because on Saturday I will be back on Fly 104.9! I’ve added a few segments to my show including movie news, website of the week, and a few others.
